Audi TT RS Plus Gets Power Boost from OK-Chip Tuning
It’s not like Audi TT RS Plus is lacking power, but that didn’t stop OK-ChipTuning from giving the coupe a little extra oomph. Its unique five-cylinder engine does give the TT RS Plus an impressive all-round sports car feel, but wait to hear about the new power package from aftermarket specialists O- Chiptuning. Audi’s turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine was equipped with an optimized ECU, a Wagner Evo 2 charge air cooler and a DK-Turbotecnic Dortmund exhaust system with valve control. These mods led to the gain of power (+93 hp, 143 lb-ft) with the total output of 453 hp and 486 lb-ft of torque.
With that kind of power Audi TT RS Plus pushes itself firmly into supercar territory, taking on the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 174 mph. The OK-Chiptuning Audi TT RS plus is equipped with the 7-speed S-tronic transmission. Isn’t it cool that the tuner managed to squeeze out 453 hp out of the smallest Audi coupe?
Besides the engine upgrades, OK Chiptuning's Audi TT RS also received H&R club sport chassis that includes a stabilizer kit, adjustable coupling bars and adjustable aluminum strut bearings. A wheel-tire-combination consists of 19-inch OZ Ultraleggera HTL rims in 9x19 ET42, wrapped in Toyo Proxes in 255/35-19. The carbon rear wings as well as the front and rear aprons subtly enhance the TT without changing its classic look.
