Toyota GR Super Sports Concept, 1,000 HP Hybrid Racer
If we could give awards to cars, Toyota GR Super Sports Concept would be awarded as a breathtaking hybrid racer. This automotive masterpiece debuted at the 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon and they say that the upcoming road-legal hypercar will be inspired by this beast. If that’s true and not just rumors, expect it to take down the likes of Mercedes-AMG and Aston Martin. The automaker didn’t spill the beans and there’s minor information known about this concept, but we do know that the beast is powered by the impressive twin-turbo, direct injection V6 engine, good for the insane 1,000 hp.
As you feast your eyes on the car’s exterior, first thing that grabs your attention is the low aerodynamic shape. Any Le Mans fan would be impressed by what this concept offers- the large rear spoiler, a central bargeboard, and tightly packaged wheels. Back to the engine, the V6 unit was borrowed from the TS050 Hybrid, but things are most likely to be slightly changed as it gets closer to the production. As rumored, the automaker tends to bring the GR Super Sports Concept to production as soon as possible. With that mentioned, be sure to find out the details about the concept rather soon!
