Lexus LF-1 Limitless Crossover Concept Gives You a Feel of Hyperspace
With the car manufacturers offering crossovers of various sizes for 2020, Lexus also rolled out its LF-1 Limitless concept which you may call a "flagship crossover". While it offers more flair than GX and LX (more truck-like models), the LF-1 Limitless concept slots above the RX. You will notice that the design of the concept is ‘sharp’, the design approach called "molten katana" (appearance of a Japanese sword in automotive form). Lexus has provided its recent spindle grille a three-dimensional design, so it now mimics a "Star Wars" ship's shift. The front end no longer features the chrome, but the LED lighting. The other exterior goodies of the concept include Tesla–like door handles and a roof spoiler split in the middle. Gone are the door mirrors, so the rear view is delivered into screens around the instrument cluster resembling the motorcycle mirrors.
The feel of hyperspace continues inside: the perforated door trim allows the lighting through like a starry sky. You will find individual white leather seats under the moonroof inside. The interior offers a dedicated light show on at the press of the start button. All powertrain controls are either in the wheel or in the steering column. Taking into consideration all Lexus model lines will be electrified in some fashion by 2025, the production version could be a fuel-cell vehicle, a PHEV, all-electric, or gasoline-powered. Moreover, Lexus offers a hands-free driver assist level called "Chauffeur mode."
