Italdesign Zerouno Duerta is the Brand New Roadster to Make a Hit
The new supercar by Italdesign Giugiaro named Zerouno Duerta, was unveiled to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the automaker. The amazing build was presented at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show. If you remember the Zerouno that debuted last year, you’ll notice that both the Zerouno and the Duerta (the targa version of the Coupe), resemble Lamborghini Veneno. You’ll see the striking similarity with the Veneno Roadster specifically. To tell the truth, it doesn't come as much of a surprise since Filippo Perini, the lead designer at Italdesign is a former design boss at Lamborghini. Now, as the targa variant of the Zerouno, the Duerta features a removable carbon fiber element to swap between coupe and targa body styles in a blink of an eye. When it comes to the wheelbase, length width and height, the Roadster is just the same as the Coupe version.
Just like the last year’s car, the brand new targa is limited to just five versions with the price tag of $2.4 million, including taxes. As for the powertrain, both cars are based on the chassis of a donor Audi R8 V10 Plus, producing the insane 610 hp. While the acceleration time from a standstill to 60 mph is mere 3.2 seconds, the Zerouno Duerta’s top speed is 205 mph. The V10 is the only part taken from Audi- it doesn’t share a single body panel with R8, but almost the whole Duerta’s body is crafted from carbon fiber.
